Vehicle Recovery Services
Repossession and Recovery
Our bailiffs act on behalf of registered lien claimants to repossess vehicles for unpaid leases, loans, or repairs. This includes all types of vehicles, from motorized scooters to 18-wheel tractor trailers.
Pursuant to the Personal Property Security Act, R.S.O. 1990 (PPSA) and the Repair and Storage Liens Act, R.S.O. 1990 (RSLA), bailiffs appointed by the Ministry of Government Services Consumer Protection Branch have the legal authority to repossess vehicles in Ontario, when the creditor has registered the appropriate lien.
Our aim is to provide cost effective solutions to your recovery and civil enforcement problems.
Our bailiffs are dispatched promptly into the field, and our policy is to balance sensitivity to the debtor’s circumstances with the prime objective, recovery of the creditor's collateral.
Our knowledgeable administrative staff also help maintain the high standards of professionalism that we first established in 1963, by tailoring our services to maximize cost-effectiveness while representing the creditor’s best interest. We also provide prompt reporting and updates to our clients during the recovery process.
Redemptions
Recovery alone is not enough. We are also extremely proud of our successful rate of redemptions.
Following the repossession, our administrative staff will immediately endeavour to work with the debtor and creditor to effect a recovery of arrears and/or loan payout (depending on the creditor’s instructions) as well as bailiff costs, to make the situation a win/win for both parties.
Not every file will redeem. In such instances we will prepare and serve all required notices and either liquidate the equipment for fair market value as quickly as possible or deliver the collateral to the liquidator of your choice.
Whatever the outcome, you can be assured of professional, prompt, and courteous service.
